The ideal opportunity to qualify for Summer Institute each year is to attend a Teen
Business and Leadership Training Seminar held around the state. Currently Seminars are planned for Pennsylvania,
New Jersey, New York, and Maryland. Visit the Regional Events page to locate a Training Seminar near you.

Participants will engage in basic team building, leadership training, general business skills and skills in organizing
(or how to organize) business cooperatives. These training events provide the organizers with the means to evaluate the scholars
and make a selection based upon knowledge, leadership and enthusiasm for learning about cooperatives.
If you are unable to attend a Teen Business and Leadership Training Seminar, the
Alternative Activities MAY be used to qualify a youth for Summer Institute.
Selection is at the discretion of the Summer Institute Staff.
